Feather Wreath Tutorial
This is easy to make and looks great (except the color). I’m just too traditional when it comes to Christmas to want hot pink decorations :) I would do this in white to use all winter, or red because I like red more. It uses a foam core wreath form. I would reuse a straw or foam wreath I already had that needed a makeover. Or grab an ugly cheap one from a thrift store. By using picks (decorations on a thin pointed stick) stabbed into the foam or straw, you could easily change it for different times of year. Red works for a lot of occasions besides Christmas: Valentine’s Day (add pink and/or white), Patriotic Days (add blue & white), summer (add multicolored flowers all over), fall (add bright orange, yellow and dark red leaves and flowers), Halloween (add black, and maybe some severed fingers or eyeballs), President’s Day (add black stovepipe hats and cherries), New Year’s Day (add colorful streamers and stuff), Thanksgiving (like fall, but add dark red cranberries and felt turkeys with red on them). You would probably have to change it for spring (unless you went with bright tulips), St. Patrick’s Day, Arbor Day and Easter (unless you went with bright colored eggs). The times you needed another color, white would work, so just make a white one too. You would have all the seasons and holidays covered with one white and one red one.
